Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently hiring for a Staff Supply Chain Planning Specialist to lead Global Supply Chain efforts on our IBCS Full Rate Production team. **This position is in Huntsville, AL. The person hired will be expected to work the hours of operations in Huntsville, AL at our new “EPIC” manufacturing facility.**
Major Responsibilities:
+ Act as the Lead Production facing liaison for the Global Supply chain team
+ Help define and develop material strategy, executing Material Program Plans (MPP)
+ Identify and mitigate complex production risks relative to cost and schedule
+ Receive and review requirements for standard and non-standard parts. Analyzes lead times and Material Master data for price valuation and planned delivery times
+ Participate in make/buy process, capacity planning, and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, product end-of-life management.
+ Analyze purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
+ Understand inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
+ Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) and ensure timely execution of RMAs & Repairs
+ Train, lead, and mature lower-level global supply chain professionals
+ Extract, monitor, analyze and validate data and information from multiple sources
+ Develop engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners / customers to drive problem resolution.
Other Job Duties:
+ Participate in competitive and non-competitive sourcing approaches, requests for quotes
+ Solicitation bid packages strategies, targeting optimized pricing through volume
+ Source selections in a competitive environment & participate in proposal activities.
+ Participate in Agile environment teams to drive Change Request (CR) updates to TDP.
+ Understand and evaluate multiple supplier proposals to place compliant purchase orders.
+ Help CAMs and GSC Management understand and explain material forecasts & variances.
+ Achieve EAC (estimate at complete) and ETC (estimate to complete) goals within programs of responsibility
+ Achieve budget price variance (B.P.V.) goals for programs of responsibility
+ Achieve material sales goals (Inventory Receipts)
+ Support on-time delivery performance of suppliers within programs of responsibility (Supplier OTD >98%)
+ Ensure high quality products from suppliers within programs of responsibility (Supplier Quality >98%)
+ Candidates must be able to make sound and independent decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry, including Aerospace and Defense.
Basic Qualifications for Staff Supply Chain Planning Specialist:
+ Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 12 or more years of supply chain, production planning, or closely related experience; 10 years with a masters degree; 4 additional years of supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Superior communication skills (written and verbal), leadership abilities, negotiation skills and the ability to team in a cross-functional environment are required to perform in this position.
+ This individual should have experience providing complex material program strategies for programs with numerous end items and variation of configurations
+ This individual must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management and the external customer
+ Since communication of information is a key component of this position, excellent presentation skills will be required to keep internal customers, suppliers, and the external customer informed.
+ Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
+ MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
+ Must be a U.S. citizen
+ Must have ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Ideal candidate will bring their experience in Production Planning, Program/Project Management, or Supply Cchain experience from hardware-centric Production environments.
+ Demonstrated experience in the analysis and negotiation of contractual terms and conditions
+ Problem solving, and interpersonal skills
+ Proven ability to apply risk-based thinking in support of strategic decision making
+ In depth SAP experience, MES experience, Tableau and SharePoint Experience
+ Understanding of FAR/DFAR regulations
Salary Range: $134,900.00 - $202,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
