The Department of Administrative and Financial Services is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team in the General Government Service Center (GGSC).
Are you a seasoned HR professional, passionate about partnering with leaders in improving and supporting working conditions for a wide range of employees in a public service environment? The well-qualified candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a positive can-do attitude. This position works closely and in cooperation with the service center agencies, the State EEO Coordinator, multiple labor unions, and other government agencies in providing HR management across all levels of the organizations we support. Exemplary customer service, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships are critical elements in this role.
This position is responsible for providing assistance to agencies regarding HR matters, to include investigations, performance management, contract interpretation, dispute resolution and more. The General Government Service Center’s reputation rests on our ability to successfully partner with agency management in achieving their goals. As a Human Resources Manager with the GGSC you will use critical thinking, creativity, positivity, and best practices to assist our agency in all human resources matters.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing high level human resources support to agency management including labor relations, investigations, employee performance management and related human resources functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify, you must have professional level experience in human resources management. Preference may be given to candidates with significant experience in human resources, and labor relations.
The background of well-qualified candidates will demonstrate the following competencies:
1. Ability and experience in providing a broad range of HR-related support and training to managers and supervisors, and sound decision making.
2. A successful history of providing exceptional customer service and partnering with agencies in providing meaningful HR services.
3. Knowledge of and prior experience working with bargaining unit contracts and merit systems principles.
4. A demonstrated ability of working in a fast-paced team-based environment with accuracy and proficiency while meeting shifting priorities.
