Job Description
Provides strategic guidance and expertise in statistical and health data science methodologies for research design and analysis, with a focus on clinical research projects. Works collaboratively with other investigators, clinicians, and scientists in facilitating research.
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced PhD-level statisticians to join the newly established Office of Clinical Research Statistics supporting Northwell's enterprise-wide clinical research infrastructure
Job Responsibility
*Applies statistical and health data science methods to research projects, with a focus on externally funded research projects.
*Provides strategic direction in research protocol development, biostatistics/statistics, database design/maintenance, and manuscript development/review process.
*Supports applications for grant funding and/or patents as appropriate.
*Responsible for the statistical analysis of research data.
*Submits manuscripts and abstracts for publication/presentation.
*Participates in departmental and institutional committees and activities
*Provides technical guidance to statistical research staff.
*Provides education and training in statistical methods and applications, as needed.

Job Qualification
+ Doctoral degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or a closely related field, required. ( **relevant experience during PhD training, postdoctoral work, or equivalent research roles will be considered)**
+ 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership/ management experience, required.
+ Strong programming skills in statistical software, required.
+ Strong programming skills in statistical software (e.g., R, Python), required.
Other Qualifications:
+ A record of scholarly achievement, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences.
+ track record of participating in external research funding (Co-I or PI), with a focus on clinical research experience, preferred.
+ Strong collaboration and effective communication skills.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $121,200-$212,100/year
