About the Role:

Are you commercially savvy and passionate about strategic sourcing? Do you excel in driving cost-effective sourcing strategies while maintaining top-notch product quality and supplier relationships? If so, Eastman invites you to join our dynamic team as a Senior Sourcing Manager specializing in IT Services.

This is a full-time remote position and will report to Category Manager, IT and Corporate Services. The Senior Sourcing Manager, IT Services leads the Information Technology category strategy development, leads sourcing events and conducts category management activities, with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions, while maintaining/improving product quality, supplier service levels and managing risk. They will work closely with key stakeholders in functional member organizations and in corporate functions to execute effective cost reduction and risk mitigation strategies.

Location for this position is United States (remote) ideally on the east coast.

Responsibilities

• Utilize your in-depth market knowledge to provide strategic insights to our commercial teams, empowering them to make informed decisions. • Lead IT Sourcing and Procurement team, along with cross-functional teams to capture savings across commercial, specification, and demand levers of sourcing, optimizing cost-effectiveness. • Drive supplier selection and negotiation processes, cultivating mutually beneficial partnerships to achieve strategic goals. • Develop and implement IT category strategies by leading a cross-functional, category team • Monitor category performance metrics and assess the impact of sourcing strategies, making data-driven adjustments as needed • Uphold internal and external policies, regulations, and laws while fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement • Conduct IT category management activities including sourcing events, negotiating contracts and amendments as necessary to deliver the category strategy and deliver initial and ongoing cost advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree required (business, engineering, science, or supply chain). Master’s Degree preferred. • 5+ years Procurement experience is required. • Previous purchasing, sourcing or commercial experience such as complex contract negotiations, market assessments, strategy frameworks (e.g. Porter analysis, SWOT analysis, etc) is strongly preferred. • Relevant technical understanding of IT infrastructure, software, and services required • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail. • Strong negotiating skills paired with effective communication abilities, both written and verbal. • Proven leadership capabilities and comfort in navigating conflict. • Proficiency in project management and familiarity with capital equipment acquisition processes. • Experience with Information Technology ERP Software (SAP) or Systems specification, capability, and normal commercial offer terms for large enterprises (>1000 users). • Demonstrated Capability to learn new techniques and quickly applying them (action orientation).
