    Job Summary

    An exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled technical team as a Senior Network Security Engineer is available at Aquarion Water Company. This role is perfect for an experienced hands-on contributor with a background in security on complex enterprise class network environments.

    Principal Responsibilities

    + Operate and enhance current network and related security systems (Network switches, routers, internet firewall services, VPN and other Network Management devices)

    + Define, design and implement network and related security solutions. Creates and maintains standard builds/templates

    + Applies advanced network and related security engineering and architecture knowledge on complex and diverse problems where analysis of situations requires in-depth evaluation

    + Designs, installs, supports, and maintains new network and related security hardware and software infrastructure. May oversee network and/or related security systems projects

    + Allocates network resources, monitors network performance and usage, and ensures most cost effective and efficient use of network system resources

    + Ensures all IT equipment complies with industry and regulatory standards

    + Troubleshoots, analyzes, and resolves faults in operational networks

    + Ensures routine preventative maintenance and license compliance is performed

    + Project manage scope, approach, budget, schedule and resources on network and security related projects.

    + Develop network and related security documentation, including diagrams and work instructions

    + Administrate procurement/contracts activities of network and related security assets

    + Perform after hours support duties for network and infrastructure on a rotational basis

    Preferred Requirements

    + Cisco routing, Voice/data communications, Network architecture and Network services such as DNS, DHCP, Systems security, Application Architecture, Network monitoring and alerting, Firewall configuration maintenance, and Network protocol traffic management

    + Experience with advanced network engineering principles, utility industry standards and developing technologies

    + Experience in network cyber investigations

    + Experience in creating network design diagrams and documentation.

    + Experience with packet capture and protocol analysis

    + Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, problems solving skills required.

    + Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and time management skills

    + Strong team player

    + Minimum 8 years of experience working within network infrastructure

    + Minimum 4 years experience in firewall/security management

    Education/Certifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT or related field

    + CCNA, CCNP, Security Certifications Preferred

     

    Salary

     

    • Job is classified as an exempt position with an annual salary range of $102,720 - $128,400

    • After 3 months of successful employment, this role will be eligible for a hybrid schedule (3 days office/2 days remote).
