Description
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud environments to join our innovative team. This role focuses on leveraging cloud technologies to support the organization's infrastructure, enhance scalability, enable business agility, and ensure system reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience working with leading cloud platforms, a strong understanding of cloud architecture, and a passion for automating and optimizing infrastructure. This opportunity is 100% on-site, 5 days per week. At this time, we are unable to support C2C or relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions on leading platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) based on business needs.
+ Work on infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate deployments and maintain a reproducible infrastructure.
+ Maintain and optimize existing cloud environments for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
+ Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines through cloud-native tools and services.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments through tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or equivalent, ensuring high availability and performance.
+ Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including role-based access controls, identity management, and encryption.
+ Develop and deploy containerized applications using tools like Docker and orchestrators such as Kubernetes.
+ Assist in cloud migration projects, providing expertise on architecture, strategy, and execution.
+ Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and trends, recommending improvements to enhance the flexibility and reliability of the organization's cloud ecosystem.
+ Create and maintain up-to-date documentation, including system architecture diagrams, workflows, and operational manuals.
Requirements
Required Qualifications and Skills:
+ 3+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with one or more major platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
+ Proficiency in cloud-native services, virtualization, and containerization technologies.
+ Strong skills in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud infrastructure management.
+ Familiarity with networking concepts in a cloud environment, such as VPCs, subnets, load balancers, and firewalls.
+ Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools in cloud environments.
+ Solid knowledge of programming or scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
+ Strong understanding of cloud security principles and frameworks.
+ Ability to optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and scaling.
+ Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve performance bottlenecks in complex cloud ecosystems.
+ Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
+ Cloud certifications, such as:
+ AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
+ Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
+ Google Professional Cloud Architect
+ Experience with multi-cloud strategies or hybrid cloud architectures.
+ Familiarity with serverless computing models (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
+ Knowledge of database management in the cloud, including RDS, Cosmos DB, or BigQuery.
+ Experience in DevOps practices, especially integrating cloud in CI/CD workflows.
+ Experience with cloud disaster recovery strategies and high-availability architectures.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
