Exciting opportunity to join a 40+ year old company in Central Houston that has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager/Controller! They are a leader in their industry and want to hire a hands-on strategic Accounting Manager/Controller that can help the business continue to grow. Controller Job Description:

+ Lead and complete monthly, quarterly and year end close

+ Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (B/S, I/S, and C/F)

+ Complete monthly P& L variance reporting

+ Reconcile bank statements, intercompany balances, and balance sheet GL accounts

+ Lead payroll processing efforts

+ Analyze and forecast business trends, prepare cash forecast and monthly/annual budget work

+ Seek out cost reduction opportunities and monitor existing cost reduction efforts

+ Manage banking relationships, lines of credit, and rental agreements

Requirements

+ 5+ years of full cycle accounting through financial statement preparation

+ Small-to-midsize company experience

+ Experience managing banking relationships

+ Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
