Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with hands-on expertise in Paycom software to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing while ensuring compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and tax laws. Your proficiency with Paycom will be critical in supporting accurate and efficient payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Accurately process payroll on a regular schedule using the Paycom platform, including the calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, and bonuses.
+ Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, direct deposits, and benefits elections, within Paycom.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding payroll, withholding taxes, wage/hour laws, and other relevant regulations.
+ Reconcile payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, and resolve any issues promptly.
+ Generate and review payroll reports to confirm accuracy in calculations and timely reporting for management and finance teams.
+ Handle off-cycle payrolls, including final paychecks and adjustments, through Paycom.
+ Process garnishments, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions in accordance with legal and company-specific guidelines.
+ Partner with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate data synchronization and reporting across systems.
+ Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, or adjustments in a timely and professional manner.
+ Stay updated on payroll industry trends and changes in employment tax laws to ensure compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of payroll experience with demonstrated expertise in payroll processing, compliance, and reconciliation.
+ Proficiency with Paycom payroll software is required; candidates without Paycom experience will not be considered.
+ Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and wage-hour laws.
+ Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
+ Excellent time-management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets).
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and respond to employee questions.
+ Payroll certification (e.g., CPP or FPC) is a plus but not required.
