    Robert Half Technology (Spring, TX)


    Description

    We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive IT Administrator to manage and support our internal IT systems and infrastructure. The IT Administrator will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This role includes user support, server and network administration, and management of IT assets.

     

    + Administer and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services.

    + Provide desktop support to end-users, including hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting.

    + Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems.

    + Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

    + Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks, and applications.

    + Perform regular backups, system updates, and patch management.

    + Maintain documentation of systems, procedures, and network diagrams.

    + Assist with IT projects, including deployments, migrations, and upgrades.

    Requirements

    + 2–5 years of experience in IT administration or support roles.

    + Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and networking fundamentals.

    + Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

    + Familiarity with security best practices, firewalls, antivirus, and backup tools.

    + Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or in a team.

    + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

    + Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or equivalent).

    + Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and mobile device management.
