    Description

    One of our clients is looking for a Senior Accountant for a contract to permanent placement opportunity.

     

    + Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

    + Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and analyzing variances.

    + Reconciliations: Execute complex balance sheet and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

    + Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and participating in audit meetings.

    + Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance teams to analyze financial data, assist with budgets, and provide insights into performance trends.

    + Process Improvements: Review current accounting procedures and propose improvements to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

    + Team Collaboration: Liaise with different departments such as FP& A, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.

    Requirements

    + Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification a strong plus.

    + Experience:

    + Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior accountant role or relevant capacity.

    + Previous experience in corporate accounting or public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier firm experience preferred).

    + Skills:

    + Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

    + Proficiency in ERP system and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros).

    + Proven ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.

    + Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, high attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
