Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Systems Administrator with at least 4 years of hands-on expertise managing and supporting Microsoft technologies, including strong proficiency with Azure cloud environments. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring it meets the organization’s performance, security, and availability needs. This is a technical role requiring expertise in on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft tools and infrastructure. This opportunity is 100% on-site, 5 days per week. At this time, we are unable to support C2C or relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Administer, support, and maintain Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory (AD), Exchange, Microsoft 365 (M365), and Azure cloud infrastructure.
+ Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud solutions, including resource configuration, identity management, and cost optimization.
+ Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows-based virtualization environments, such as Hyper-V or Azure VM configurations.
+ Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory, including group policies, hybrid configurations, and Azure AD integrations.
+ Provide end-user support for Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online.
+ Monitor and optimize system performance, maintaining availability and scalability of IT services.
+ Execute effective security practices including Azure security tools (e.g., Azure Security Center, Azure Identity Protection) and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
+ Develop and maintain system documentation, manuals, and processes for existing and newly implemented systems.
+ Act as a subject matter resource for Azure-related projects, integrating on-premise systems with cloud technologies.
+ Assist with backup and recovery tasks in Microsoft environments to ensure data integrity.
+ Automate processes and recurring tasks using PowerShell scripting or modern tools, improving overall system efficiency.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure changes, upgrades, or migrations.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator managing Microsoft technologies.
+ Strong experience managing and configuring resources in Azure cloud, including identity, networking, storage, and virtual machines.
+ Expertise in Windows Server (installation, administration, patching, and troubleshooting) and Active Directory domain services (on-premises and Azure AD).
+ Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
+ Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like Hyper-V or VMware.
+ Strong PowerShell scripting abilities for automation, configuration, and infrastructure management tasks.
+ Knowledge of networking concepts and configurations (e.g., DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
+ Familiarity with security concepts, including identity management, multifactor authentication (MFA), and data protection best practices.
+ Experience with monitoring and performance management tools for Windows and Azure environments.
+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in large-scale enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
+ Professional certifications such as:
+ Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
+ Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
+ MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
+ Hands-on experience with migrations to Azure cloud or hybrid environments.
+ Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
+ Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure, such as Azure Backup and Site Recovery.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
