• Software Test Engineer

    Description

    We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in automated testing using Selenium or Playwright, SQL, Scrum methodologies, and GitHub Actions. In this role, you will design, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks, ensuring the high quality and reliability of our software products. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in an Agile development environment, identifying and resolving issues early in the development lifecycle. This opportunity is 100% on-site, 5 days per week. At this time, we are unable to support C2C or relocation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright across web, API, and database layers.

    + Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, ensuring database integrity and backend quality testing.

    + Design comprehensive test plans and cases to cover new features, user stories, and regression scenarios in Scrum sprints.

    + Integrate and manage automated testing workflows within GitHub Actions, ensuring continuous integration and deployment pipelines run smoothly.

    + Conduct performance, functional, integration, and regression testing to verify product quality.

    + Identify, log, and track issues using bug-tracking tools to ensure timely resolution and high-quality output.

    + Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to clarify requirements and ensure testing alignment.

    + Deliver input during sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups as part of the Scrum methodology.

    + Analyze results from automated test runs, generate reports, and continuously refine the test framework.

    + Participate in root cause analysis, advocating for issues that impact end users and recommending improvements.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer, Automation Engineer or QA.

    + Proficiency in automated testing using Selenium or Playwright and a solid understanding of software quality assurance methodologies.

    + Strong knowledge and experience writing SQL queries for testing and data validation.

    + Proven experience working within Scrum or Agile methodologies, including contributing to sprint artifacts.

    + Familiarity with GitHub Actions for automating testing and deployment processes.

    + Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their role in fostering continuous delivery and integration.

    + Hands-on experience with test case management and bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent platforms.

    + Ability to analyze and troubleshoot both functional and non-functional issues effectively.

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

    Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

    + Experience with performance or load-testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.

    + Programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript for customizing test scripts and frameworks.

    + Familiarity with APIs and testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.

    + Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes for test environment provisioning.

    + Testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester) or relevant technical certifications.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
