    Michelle Espejo with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting for an Assistant Fund Controller at a leading Venture Capital firm. This full-time, permanent role is based in Palo Alto with a hybrid schedule.

    Responsibilities

    + Drive financial reporting and accounting processes, including fund financials, investor reports, and regulatory filings

    + Oversee cash management and banking operations across multiple funds and entities

    + Support fund operations including capital calls, distributions, and allocation of expenses

    + Maintain investor capital accounts and prepare investment performance and portfolio reports

    + Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely audit completion

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA progress preferred

    + 6+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or asset management

    + Strong command of GAAP, fund accounting, and financial reporting

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with systems like Carta, Investran, QuickBooks, or NetSuite is a plus

    + Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities
