    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a part-time contract basis in Meridian, Idaho. This role is ideal for someone who excels at managing large volumes of information and has experience working with accounts payable processes. The position involves critical tasks related to utility check processing and verification.

    Responsibilities:

    • Enter and organize data accurately to address a backlog of utility checks.

    • Contact utility companies to verify check details and ensure proper documentation.

    • Maintain records of returned checks and update relevant systems accordingly.

    • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies in data.

    • Ensure compliance with company protocols and data entry standards.

    • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and manage high volumes of data efficiently.

    • Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and address challenges.

    • Provide timely updates to supervisors regarding the status of the backlog.

    • Identify and report errors or inconsistencies in financial data for resolution.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience in data entry or a related administrative role.

     

    • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and procedures.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.

    • Excellent communication skills for interacting with external utility companies.

    • Proficient in using data entry software and office productivity tools.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

    • Prior experience handling returned checks or similar financial tasks is a plus.
