Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical SQL Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and writing complex queries to support business reporting, analytics, and application development. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience working with large data sets, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and indexes.

+ Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data between systems.

+ Maintain and improve the performance, integrity, and security of databases.

+ Create and manage reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other BI tools.

+ Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and application developers to deliver data-driven solutions.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance tuning and data quality concerns.

+ Participate in database design and architecture decisions for new and existing applications.

+ Assist with data migration, backup, and recovery tasks.

+ Document processes, queries, and data dictionaries.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

+ 2–5+ years of experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar database development role.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database design.

+ Strong understanding of normalization, indexing, and query performance tuning.

+ Experience with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), SSIS, and SSRS.

+ Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL tools.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

+ Experience with cloud platforms like Azure SQL or AWS RDS.

+ Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.

+ Experience with version control systems like Git.

+ Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
