    Your Career

     

    As a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer, you will join a team responsible for driving our Cloud Applications and Data security products, including SaaS, IaaS, Network and Endpoint Data Protection. You will work with cutting-edge technology, redefining the future of network security.

     

    This role plays a key role in supporting our product managers, marketing teams, and customers by developing outbound technical communication, including product best practices, competitive reviews, demo environments, and ownership of product betas. You will perform technical gap analysis, competitive analysis and support the product management in identifying next-generation innovations. This is a critical customer facing role within the company and one where the right person can have significant impact.

     

    The ideal candidate would be able to influence strategy, collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute go to market strategies, act as a thought leader at the industry level, evangelizing the products and product strategy both internally and externally.

    Your Impact

    + Develop, constantly refine, and execute the technical marketing plan for products/ areas of ownership

    + Write and create high-quality customer facing, partner facing, and sales facing collateral and presentations

    + Develop technical content including tech notes, publications, solution guides, white papers to ensure our products are well understood and utilized to the greatest extent possible

    + Deliver presentations on product updates, launches, best practices, executive briefings in virtual (webinar) or live (seminars, conferences) formats.

    + Work closely with Product Managers and provide product feedback for future development

    + Build out and manage lab environments and demo systems to replicate customer environments and real-world simulations.

    + Drive success of customer trials by assisting beta customers with understanding and configuring new product capabilities

    + Collaborate on PRD creation and review engineering specs and test plans

    + Help customers, channel partners, and system engineers with product related questions and hands-on technical training

    Your Experience

    + 8+ years of experience in computer security industry in a technical capacity and product management or product marketing role

    + BS/BA in a computer-related field or equivalent experience required

    + Strong understanding of and network security concepts (firewalls, proxies)

    + Proven expertise in network and web security technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, VPNs, firewalls, web security, IDP/IPS, DNS-based security, etc.).

    + Understanding of the evolving threat landscape: Common security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors

    + Working knowledge of cloud architectures (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)

    + Experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions

    + Good understanding of the competitive landscape for data security solutions

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation skills and trade show experience

    + Experience with production lab or data center experience with application staging and maintenance a plus

    + Experience with network test equipment (Ixia/Breakingpoint/Spirent) and with scripting languages such as python

    + Experience in automation tools, building dashboards, etc.

    + Eagerness to learn new technologies, experiment with products and collaborate cross-functionally

    + Strong customer advocacy skills and experience, ability to work in difficult customer situations

    + Work towards getting things done, fast learner with strong initiative and sense of ownership

    Compensation Disclosure

     

    The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $134,000 - $215,500/YR.
