Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Staff Associate to join our team in Sandwich, Massachusetts. In this role, you will contribute to the preparation of tax returns, assist with tax planning initiatives, and ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations. Responsibilities:
• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts with accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to support planning initiatives and provide insights.
• Maintain organized and thorough documentation of client records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and address basic tax-related inquiries.
• Stay informed on updates to tax laws and apply them effectively in day-to-day tasks.
• Work closely with team members to complete various tax assignments and meet deadlines.
• Uphold confidentiality and protect sensitive client information at all times. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA eligibility or a plan to pursue CPA licensure is preferred.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant tax experience is essential.
• Familiarity with S Corporation and individual tax preparation is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
• Experience with tax preparation software, such as UltraTax, is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
