    Position Overview:

    A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the supply chain operations of an organization. This role ensures efficient, effective, and timely movement and storage of goods from point of origin to destination, maintaining high customer satisfaction while reducing operational costs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills to address logistical challenges.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Supply Chain Management: Plan, manage, and monitor inbound and outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.

    + Shipment Coordination: Schedule and coordinate the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery while minimizing delays and costs.

    + Vendor and Carrier Relations: Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to negotiate better service terms, rates, and timely resolutions to conflicts.

    + Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company regulations and guidelines.

    + Documentation: Maintain accurate records for all shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation.

    + Process Optimization: Identify process inefficiencies and propose enhancements to streamline operations and reduce costs while maintaining service quality.

    + Customer Service Support: Collaborate with the customer service team to address delivery-related concerns and ensure high satisfaction levels.

    + Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, replenishment needs, and maintain inventory accuracy through proper tracking systems.

    + Technology Utilization: Leverage logistics software and technology systems to optimize operations, manage tracking, and improve overall efficiency.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Skills:

    + Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.

    + Experience: 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field. Prior exposure to warehouse or freight forwarding environments is a plus.

    + Technical Skills: Proficiency with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or WMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and tracking systems for supply chain management.

    + Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

    + Problem-Solving: Ability to manage and resolve logistical challenges swiftly and effectively.

    + Organizational Ability: Excellent attention to detail with strong time-management skills to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

    + Knowledge Base: Familiarity with shipping regulations, documentation, customs clearance processes, and international trade laws is advantageous.

    + Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are a plus.

    + Adaptability: Flexible with shifting priorities and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
