Job Title: IT Systems Administrator
Job Type: Contract-to-Potential Hire
Duration: Contract length dependent on full-time offer timing
Pay Rate: $35 W-2 / $70,000 Salary
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our client's team in Fort Mill, SC. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, solutions-oriented, and well-versed in Microsoft technologies including O365, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure. The successful candidate will also bring scripting knowledge in PowerShell and a foundational understanding of networking.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide Tier 2/3 support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices in a Windows-based environment.
+ Administer and maintain Microsoft 365/O365 applications and services.
+ Manage Windows Server environments including patching, performance monitoring, and user access.
+ Perform Active Directory tasks such as group policy management, user provisioning, and security group maintenance.
+ Utilize PowerShell for scripting, automation, and routine administration.
+ Provide basic network troubleshooting and support (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP).
+ Assist with cloud-based administration in Azure, including user and group management.
+ Maintain system documentation, asset inventories, and process workflows.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure secure and efficient IT operations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a desktop support-focused infrastructure role.
+ Hands-on experience with:
+ Office 365 / Microsoft 365 Administration
+ Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
+ Active Directory & Group Policy
+ PowerShell scripting for system administration
+ Azure Active Directory (basic administration)
+ Core networking concepts and tools
+ Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users.
+ Must be able to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a hybrid setting.
Work Schedule:
+ Hybrid Schedule: 3 days on-site in Fort Mill, SC, and 2 days remote each week.
Additional Details:
+ This is a contract-to-potentially hire opportunity.
+ Timeline for conversion to full-time is based on business need and performance but is estimated to last at least 3 months.
+ Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
