Description

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our client's team in Arden Hills, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing, marketing, and delivery of feed ingredients by assisting Merchandisers and ensuring accurate transactional processes. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Enter purchase and sales order data into operating systems with accuracy and timeliness.

• Maintain and review records for purchase and sales contracts to ensure compliance and consistency.

• Generate and analyze inventory reports, ensuring accurate month-end balances and reconciliations.

• Assist in the coordination of transportation logistics, including negotiating freight rates with carriers.

• Address customer and supplier inquiries, resolving issues effectively and maintaining strong relationships.

• Collaborate with the Accounting Department to process invoices and payments on time and address discrepancies.

• Support Merchandisers with market research, pricing strategies, and operational decisions.

• Communicate relevant updates and information to team members and leadership.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Agriculture, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within the agricultural or feed industry.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with inventory reporting, reconciliations, and transactional data entry.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced setting.
