    Description

    We are looking for a highly skilled Big Data Engineer to join our data and analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data architectures, and enabling advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. You'll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure that massive volumes of structured and unstructured data are accessible, reliable, and secure.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust big data pipelines

    + Build and optimize data architectures using distributed computing frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop

    + Develop data integration and ingestion solutions from various structured and unstructured data sources

    + Ensure high performance and availability of data processing workflows

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data quality and governance best practices

    + Support real-time and batch processing workloads

    + Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance issues

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    + 3+ years of experience as a Big Data Engineer or similar role

    + Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala

    + Proficiency with Apache Spark, Kafka, Hive, HDFS, and Airflow

    + Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., EMR, Databricks, BigQuery)

    + Solid understanding of data lake, data warehouse, and streaming architecture

    + Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling and performance tuning

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

    + Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines

    + Understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance standards

    + Knowledge of machine learning frameworks or integration
