The Contracts Coordinator will support the end-to-end management of contracts and legal workflows. From contract drafting and negotiation to ensuring compliance and maintaining legal records, this role is central to streamlining legal processes. The Contracts Coordinator will also lead efficiency-focused initiatives to enhance the organization's contract management systems and provide training on evolving workflows. Working onsite at the Oakland, CA office, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Coordinate the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring timely and accurate inputs in legal platforms and compliance through execution.
+ Draft, review, and redline vendor agreements, nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), consulting agreements, venue contracts, statements of work (SOWs), and more.
+ Monitor renewal and termination timelines, providing updates and reports as needed.
+ Deliver internal training sessions on contract processes, tools, and updated systems to stakeholders
+ Collaborate effectively with the CLO and organizational leadership to prepare executive summaries, task lists, and meeting materials.
+ Maintain and oversee an organized, standardized filing system for contracts and related correspondence.
+ Update and enhance legal workflow systems such as Ironclad, ensuring effective integrations and functionality.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
+ A minimum of 4 years of experience in contracts management, legal operations, or related roles.
+ Proven proficiency with legal tools and platforms like Ironclad, DocuSign, and Salesforce is preferred
+ Familiarity with commercial vendor agreements, grant documents, and SOWs is a significant advantage.
+ Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative approach.
+ Previous paralegal experience or familiarity with nonprofit operations is a plus.
