Carly Sahagian with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Portland, Oregon. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of accounting principles who is eager to grow their expertise in the field. The successful candidate will also serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, ensuring a well-organized and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy.

• Manage billing and invoicing tasks, ensuring timely and error-free submissions.

• Perform data entry to maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.

• Handle invoice processing, verifying details, and resolving discrepancies as needed.

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle to manage financial data.

• Greet visitors and manage front desk responsibilities with a courteous and efficient demeanor.

• Provide support for account reconciliation tasks and assist in preparing financial reports.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to accounting standards.

Requirements • Basic knowledge of debits and credits with a desire to advance in accounting.

• Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and detail-oriented attitude.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis.

• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and invoice processing.

• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
