Description We are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Selkirk, New York. This role is integral to managing financial operations, overseeing administrative functions, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and financial management, with experience in the construction, trucking, or environmental sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger processes.

• Prepare accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, collaborating with leadership to align financial goals.

• Monitor and report on cash flow and working capital, providing actionable recommendations for financial improvements.

• Coordinate year-end audits and facilitate timely tax filings.

• Supervise daily office operations and maintain efficient administrative workflows.

• Manage employee records, benefits administration, and ensure compliance with labor regulations.

• Oversee vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and ensuring timely payments.

• Maintain organized records for business operations, contracts, and insurance documentation.

• Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and trucking regulations, including certifications and licenses. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar, as well as Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools.

• Familiarity with financial processes specific to the construction or trucking industries is highly desirable.

• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred.
