Description

A well-established multi-state legal recoveries law firm is seeking some SuperStar Litigation attorneys to join their team (remotely) in Houston, Dallas and Ft Worth! This firm is ranked as a significant player in debt recovery litigation providing solutions for major banks and creditors. As an experienced litigation attorney, you will be responsible for ensuring client success at the litigation level, including preparing for and actively going to trial.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• The review and approval of new claims within the Attorney’s jurisdiction(s). This includes meeting state level goals for consistent case movement.

• Under the direction of the Managing Attorney/Regional Attorney, assists with management and supervision of jurisdictional inventory. This includes exception and queue management.

• Conduct document review and discovery

• Execute documents requiring Attorney’s signature

• Communicate with Managing Attorney/Regional Attorney and clients in order to discuss details of cases

• Assist in responding to litigation specific components of all client audits

• Monitor relevant legal rules, regulations, statutes, and case law

• Conduct research and analysis of legal problems

• Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents

• Prepare and file legal documents

• Manage and resolve collection litigation

• Work with Pro Se litigants, opposing counsel, or other interested parties to settle files throughout the litigation process

• Oversee and interacts with outside collections and defense counsel

• Support corporate compliance with laws and regulations governing debt collection and related activities

Requirements

+ Must be a Graduate of an accredited institution by the American Bar Association (ABA) with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree

+ Licensed to practice law in Texas

+ Demonstrate case analysis ability and a track record of proven settlement skills

+ Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point

+ Proficient in internet and online research

+ Must be incentivized to reach settlements

+ Effective oral and written communication skills with knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation usage

+ Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively

+ Excellent organizational skills with an eye for details

+ Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it

+ After training, positions are remote
