    Jacobs Civil Consultants Inc. is seeking a Data Analytics and Visualization Professional (Career Level) for the New York, NY office.

    Responsibilities:

    Work closely with clients (both internal and external) to understand existing data and desired data analyses. Design relational databases according to industry standard practices of data normalization. Write structure `query language (SQL) views and procedures to prepare data for presentation and analysis. Design and implement reports and data analysis presentations using power bi, power bi report builder and tableau. Develop data workflows using power automate and applications using Power Apps. Create data processing scripts using visual basic for applications (VBA). Manage task budgets and direct other staff to complete tasks. Perform quality control checks on the work performed by staff.

     

    Telecommuting/Hybrid schedule is allowed.

    REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent (any field) and 7 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation.

     

    SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Work with clients to define and refine their needs and requirements for data presentations. Understand data management principles and use them to organize client data. Manipulate and maintain data in custom and third-party software. Design and implementation of reports and presentations using power bi and Domo. Creation of data presentations using industry standard data analytics software. Analysis of pavement condition and maintenance data for reporting and dashboarding leveraging the Paver software. Software product ideation, design, and development. Asset management principles including risk management, lifecycle management, and performance monitoring to guide expenditure planning. Authoring technical documents and communication of complicated technical concepts into easily understandable descriptions. Proficiency in MS Office Suite including advanced Excel/ Access features.
