Responsibilities

Virginia Mason is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, and be proficient in all aspects of interventional cardiology procedures. This role requires a commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

+ Assisting physicians during a variety of interventional cardiology procedures, including but not limited to: coronary angiograms, angioplasty, stenting, thrombectomy, and pacemaker/ICD implantations.

+ Preparing the cath lab and equipment for procedures, ensuring sterility and functionality.

+ Monitoring patients' vital signs and hemodynamic parameters throughout the procedure.

+ Operating and maintaining imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring systems.

+ Preparing and administering contrast media and medications as directed by the physician.

+ Assisting with post-procedure care, including patient transport and monitoring.

+ Maintaining accurate records and documentation of procedures.

+ Participating in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.

+ Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.

+ Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

+ Participating in on-call rotation as required.

+ Assisting with the training and mentoring of less experienced staff.

+ Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Associate's degree and 1 year Cardiac Catheterization and/or Interventional Radiology Lab procedure experience.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Current BLS certification required and current ACLS certification or completion of certification within 90 days of hire.

One of two pathways required for position:

Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certificate administered by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and current Washington State Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification.

Current Washington State Certification for Radiologic Technologist and a certificate from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) as well as current registration with ARRT. This position also

requires current certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology (RTR-VI), Cardiovascular Interventional (RTR-CV), Cardiac Interventional (RTR-CI) or successful completion of this post primary certification within six months of hire.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree and experience assisting with structural heart procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman device placement, etc.

Pay Range

$52.24 - $70.61 /hour
