A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for internal reporting, analysis, compiling, and organizing key financial information and metrics in support of global corporate support functions.
You Will Make an Impact By:
+ Analyze monthly financial results and investigate cost center variances across various global corporate support departments.
+ Collaborate with department heads to transform business initiatives into a financial plan.
+ Provide accurate and timely support for the forecasting and budgeting process and financial close, document actuals, and analyze department spend.
+ Prepare and provide detailed cost analysis to department heads to ensure costs are aligned with expectations.
+ Develop/implement new process improvements, as needed.
+ Analyze, track, and report on department headcounts.
+ Perform monthly reconciliations and collaborate on accounting entries.
+ Ensure compliance with relevant internal controls, accounting policies, best practices, and organizational procedures.
+ Assist with various ad hoc analytical and reporting needs.
Skills You Bring:
+ Bachelor's Degree (in Finance or Accounting preferred) and 8 years of related experience performing Accounting and/or Financial Analysis, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Working knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle is preferred.
+ Strong Microsoft Excel skills; comfortable maintaining multiple spreadsheets.
+ Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
+ Detail-oriented, business-friendly team player with an ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to take responsibility and initiative to recognize and resolve issues independently.
+ A commitment to continuous improvement and desire to grow in a professional and dynamic environment.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
+ Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
+ Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
+ Must be able to exchange accurate information.
+ The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
+ Operates in a professional office environment.
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
+ Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
