Overview
The Job in a Nutshell:
The Senior Graphic Designer position is an expert in layout, production, and delivery of all assets across all mediums (print, digital, social, social, in-store signage, and internal business publications), with specific attention to print production expertise and campaign development that maintain the company’s brand standards, brand voice, character and quality. The Senior Graphic Designer consistently seeks to enhance the level of creativity executed on all projects under the direction of the Director of Project Management to ensure deliverables meet all brand standards and requirements.

Responsibilities
Main Ingredients:
+ Collaborate with marketing department partners and channel owners to develop concepts for local and national campaigns that can be effectively versioned across a range of mediums (including but not limited to print, web, photography, social, video/film, and email marketing).
+ Receive feedback and execute changes in a timely manner, often with short turnarounds.
+ Design content, version layouts and run quality control checks on all assets to ensure that deliverables are compatible with corporate visual style/branding guidelines.
+ Receive direction and brainstorm design solutions while also meeting deadlines on a variety of projects simultaneously. Ensure work is reviewed/approved before presentation outside the marketing department.
+ Become a knowledgeable resource for all Natural Grocers Brand packing and understand the process from start to finish.
+ Conceptualize original and unique designs and illustrations
+ Be adept at versioning creative into a multitude of required digital assets for high-visibility campaigns.
+ Present work to a range of internal audiences in a clear, professional manner. Where appropriate, include creative research that will support chosen strategies
+ Be a self-starter and find creative solutions to any obstacles that arise.
+ Build relationships within the marketing team as well as across the company to ensure open communication and transparency.
+ Utilize the company’s digital asset management system by ensuring the prompt uploading of finished and approved files; maintain organization and backup of working and final files by also uploading to the company server.
+ Have a thorough understanding of the difference between print and digital creative requirements and seamlessly adapt campaign concepts across both mediums.
+ Keep up to date with design, photography and print production techniques, proposing new technologies and sharing this knowledge with the team.
+ Oversee final file delivery to internal and external vendors. Make sure all files are optimized for end-use and delivered according to specifications, production standards, color quality standards and budget.
+ Completes retouching on files required for internal presentation, work with vendors for final post-production delivery.

Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
+ Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or other related areas from an arts College or accredited University is required
+ Minimum 8 years of experience in graphic design/art direction to include retail and/or retail food brand experience, ideally working within an in-house creative team, or advertising agency
+ Experience presenting work in a meeting environment to other crew members and executives
+ Creative thinker who can provide a solid portfolio that executes on creative concepts
+ Understanding of marketing campaign development and the various mediums to deliver an integrated campaign (e.g. print; video, digital; photographic; social)
+ Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud environment applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects; Acrobat)
+ Experience with print, digital, video, social, outdoor, corporate publications design, prototyping, and production, including detailed management of high volume of design files, and vendors, to see creative lifecycle through to completion
+ Typography knowledge
+ Use visual and creative sensibilities to translate creative concepts into materials for the internal and external consumer
+ Advanced retouching skills
+ Flexible and resilient; quick to respond to changes in business priorities
+ Ability to work under creative direction and integrate feedback into the final concept
+ Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently under multiple, occasionally competing, deadlines
+ Pro-active and solutions-oriented with a positive attitude to challenges and changes

Physical Requirements:
