Job Summary:
The Research Lab Assistant will be responsible for the daily management of a small research laboratory under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator. Duties will include: ordering supplies, managing the mouse colony, maintaining lab cleanliness, preparing solutions, planning and conducting experiments, acquiring and analyzing scientific data, and training others in the lab (such as undergraduate students, summer students, or volunteers). Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree required (preferably in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field) and at least 1 year of experience working in a research laboratory setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred and 2 or more years of experience working in a research laboratory setting.
Work Days:
Monday - Friday; Some evening or weekend hours may be required to accommodate lab activities
