Under general supervision, provides assistance in the development, negotiation, and evaluation of legal contracts. Assists in the development and coordination of the contracting process. Examines and reviews proposals, rates of service, and other related documents. Examines plans and verifies that project data are in compliance with specifications and established procedures. Organizes, collects, and compiles data related to vendor performance. Participates in the bidding and awarding of contracts. Participates in the preparation of contracts. Performs periodic audits pertaining to contractual requirements and payments. Processes and reconciles reimbursement requests. Receives and processes payments for invoices following accounting practices. Reviews contract documents for compliance with State, Federal and departmental guidelines. Verifies compliance with contract requirements
Summary/Objective :
The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) is seeking candidates for a Provider Relations Specialist position . This position acts as the liaison between GVRA staff, Community Rehabilitation Programs CRPs, non-CRPs, and potential providers. This position is responsible for providing assistance in the development, negotiation, and evaluation of provider contracts. The position monitors CRP and non-CRP providers for compliance and quality.

+ Contact potential vendors/providers that have/have been requested to join the GVRA provider network
+ Serve as the point of contact for vendors and/or providers, and GVRA staff
+ Initiate responses to service provider requests , needs, updates/ and concerns
+ Initiate provider/vendor contracts, service agreements
+ Schedule and conduct/ participate in monthly provider visits
+ Communicate any new or updated information regarding service provision to service providers/vendors/internal stakeholders
+ Adheres to department operating routines, including policy and procedures, communication and customer service standards.
+ Will attend Annual reviews and random site visits of service providers under the direction of Fiscal Services staff.
+ Attend Professional Learning meetings held at the local offices
+ Recruit potential vendors and maintain a local database of approved vendors and purge list of approved providers to vet and remove providers that are not performing to agencies expectation.
+ Conduct training for service providers to advise them of the service expectation in regards to the agency i.e. supported employment, invoicing, completing progress reports, etc. in coordination and collaboration with Fiscal Services staff.

+ Preferred Education and Experience :
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the required education and experience, possess one or more of the following:
+ Expertise working with contracts, procurement, partner management, fiscal management, project management, program strategic planning, regulation and compliance, communications, records management, and at least four years of direct experience working closely with providers/partners.
+ Knowledge of department and partner programs & services and experience with interagency service teams involving braided funding and/or services.
+ Demonstrate history with internal and external communication and outreach, as well as networking with service providers, vendors, healthcare providers, and other businesses.
+ Demonstrate history working with diverse partners in the community, workforce development partners, including disability advocacy groups, tribal programs, and businesses.
Supervisory Responsibility :
This position manages a team within the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that team.
Work Environment :
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions :
Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a 40-hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing a high-volume workload and demands a high level of accuracy while working with deadlines. Regular attendance is an important part of being successful in this position. Reasonable accommodations can be made available to qualified individuals upon request.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work :
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
Travel :
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

High school diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience in business, accounting or a related field; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Contract Complnc Tech 1 (LET040) or position equivalent.
