REPORTS TO: Head of Commercial Control

The Commercial Finance Intern is a 10-week hybrid internship based in Chicago, IL. This internship will provide hands on experience in Corporate Finance. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in budgeting, forecasting, & P&L analysis.

Internship Dates: June 2nd – August 7th

Key responsibilities for this position include:

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, an operations to understand business drivers.

+ Monthly analysis on volume, price, mix by P&L line -> GSV, Net Turnover, and COGS

+ Participation in volume report to track top-line performance tracking activities vs. budget and prior year

+ Support the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes, including data consolidation and variance analysis

+ Help streamline reporting processes and identify opportunities for efficiencies

+ Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

+ Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

+ Passionate about data analytics and telling stories with data

+ Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills

+ Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) experience with ERP’s systems such as (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is a pus

+ A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
