POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting the growth of the Bank’s deposit portfolio through the active management and growth of a portfolio of business relationships by meeting customer’s financial needs; acting as a business deposit and cash management product and services specialist; acquiring new business customers by calling on prospects and cross selling to existing customers; and maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Relationship Management:Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with business customers to understand their business needs. Analyze current cash management practices and offer tailored solutions including payment processing, liquidity management, fraud protection, and reporting tools. Ensure that Kennebec Savings Bank is the customer’s primary financial institution with a focus on all deposit accounts. Conduct regular relationship reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction, identify needs, and resolve issues related to cash management.Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding cash management products and services
Product and Service Delivery:Provide expert guidance on a variety of cash management products such as ACH, wires, remote deposit capture, payment processing and more. Coordinate with the Bank’s internal team to ensure seamless implementation and integration of cash management solutions and to resolve any operational or technical issues customers encounter with cash management systems. Provide ongoing support to customers on the effective use of cash management solutions.
Sales & Revenue Growth:Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional products and services. Work to retain and grow existing customer relationships while attracting new customers. Collaborate closely with the business bankers, commercial bankers, and branch managers to provide cash management solutions to the Bank’s customers and prospects. Meet or exceed budgeted deposit and income growth objectives as well as established standards for Business Relationship Manager performance.
Market Analysis and Industry Knowledge:Stay informed of industry trends and developments related to cash management, payments and treasury services. Report to Director of Cash Management on market trends and make recommendations as appropriate.
Process Improvement and Risk Management:Identify and mitigate potential risks in cash management processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Support and educate customers in managing operational risks related to cash handling and fraud prevention.
Support Bank products/services:Maintain knowledge of current KSB products and services. Actively utilize as many Bank products and services as possible in order to fully understand their features and benefits and to be able to communicate effectively with customers and prospective customers.
Talk to customers and listen for “cues and clues” to determine needs; respond to customer inquiries and evaluate their needs; suggest Bank products/services to customers to meet their needs or make referrals to other Bank personnel as appropriate.
Community/public relations:Actively participate in community organizations and events. Represent the Bank in the community.
Other duties:Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality. Handle telephone inquiries and provide information to customers, vendors and other departments in a professional and courteous manner. Attend and participate in Bank meetings.
Attend internal and external training to improve skills and knowledge relevant to the position.

Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor’s degree with concentration in business or finance and/or equivalent work experience.
+ 5 or more years' progressively more responsible banking experience in cash management, business development, account servicing, treasury, or bank operations.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of cash management products and operations is required.
+ Strong presentation skills; must be comfortable and effective meeting with and presenting to a wide variety of customers (including Bookkeepers, Treasurers, CFOs, etc.).
+ Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of retail and business banking products and services.
+ Demonstrated sales skills, including planning, execution, follow up on sales leads and results.
+ Adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
+ Computer literate, with specific experience and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications, cash management systems and banking software, Microsoft Office suite of products; experience with CRM systems is desirable.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

+ Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

+ Must have strong written and oral communications skills, including proposal and report-writing capabilities.
+ Must be able to spend extended periods of time working on a computer.
+ Must be able to lift files and other documents of approximately 20 pounds.
+ Must be able to use the telephone; must be able to communicate clearly by telephone; must have good listening ability and skills.
+ Must be able to prioritize and organize work flow; must have good attention to detail; must be able to handle multiple jobs.
+ Must have the ability to think through a problem, following proper steps in finding a resolution.
+ Must have a high degree of ethics and maintain confidentiality of customers and accounts.
+ Must be friendly, courteous and sensitive to the needs of customers and coworkers.
