Public Relations Consultant

As a Public Relations Consultant, you will:

+ Provide Consultation: Develop public relation communications solutions that drive identified business outcomes. Translate business strategies and initiatives into messaging and content. Prioritize communications and messages to maximize impact on target external client audiences, including the general public, customers, crew, governmental bodies, suppliers, and the media.

+ Create Compelling Content: Develop effective and compelling public relations content based on a deep understanding of the target audience and the broader operating environment. Partner with business areas to ensure appropriate public relations and communications support. Serve as a spokesperson, manage incoming inquiries from the media, arrange interviews, and prepare non-communications crew to address the public or media.

+ Execute Cost-Effective Deliverables: Determine cost-effective means to execute key public relations deliverables. Capture key metrics and measure the effectiveness of external client communication solutions. Use and disseminate industry best practices across the business.

+ Resolve Conflicts: Act as a trusted advisor to influence, coach, and negotiate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts over content or public relations recommendations.

+ Research and Write: Research, write, and assist with press releases and other communication materials that are professional, effective, and accurate.

+ Ensure Consistency: Apply Vanguard's style, usage, and brand standards to ensure consistency.

+ Develop Relationships: Strengthen working relationships with key influencers across the organization and in the industry to support public relations and business objectives.

+ Participate in Special Projects: Engage in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Minimum of five years of work experience in public relations or a related field.

+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

+ Media relations experience.

+ Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.

This role is part of our hybrid work model with Tuesdays – Thursdays required in our offices to foster collaboration and relationships. On Mondays and Fridays, our crew will have the option to work remotely, or continue working from our offices in Malvern PA . Relocation assistance to the Philadelphia area is available for this role.
