Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enforcing SQF/QA, GMP, HACCP, and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will assist the Quality Assurance Department with various laboratory functions, including swabbing, coli form plating, calibrating, and antibiotic testing.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct daily QA audits.

+ Monitor ponds for compliance.

+ Perform micro plating, WPN, CO2, and antibiotic confirmation testing.

+ Conduct seal checks for powder packaging.

+ Pull and manage customer samples.

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab areas.

+ Care for and maintain laboratory equipment.

+ Update quality and procedure manuals, calibrations, wastewater reports, swabbing, and air quality monitoring.

+ Adhere to all safety and working rules.

+ Foster positive relationships with co-workers, management, customers, vendors, and employees.

+ Contribute to a quality-focused environment with a positive attitude.

+ Ensure excellent regular full-time attendance in support of company objectives.

+ Use initiative and judgment in decision-making to align with the company's best interests.

Essential Skills

+ B.S. in Sciences and 0 years of experience or Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality and microbiology within a laboratory setting

+ Strong background in food plant microbiology, preferably in the milk industry.

+ Proficiency in sample management and compliance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (LS) preferred.

+ Experience working in the quality department, specifically for CDI, is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
