• Civil Design Engineer

    Actalent (Chicago, IL)


    Job Description

    + Assist in the preparation of site plans and specifications for a variety of industrial projects.

    + Support the design and modeling of 3D surfaces and pipe systems using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    + Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.

    + Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and contractors on project estimations and designs.

    + Perform geotechnical analysis and soil tests for structural foundations.

    + Monitor project progress and report on budget matters to senior staff.

    + Ensure materials and workmanship meet project quality standards and design requirements.

    + Address any issues that arise during construction to ensure timely project completion.

    + Maintain compliance with all building and safety codes.

    Required Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

    + 0-4 years of successful project experience in a consulting engineering firm

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including 3D surface and pipe design modeling

    + Understanding of other disciplines and the interrelationship of various design elements

    + Strong analytical skills and familiarity with analysis methods

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    + Preferred knowledge of design standards, plan production procedures, and specifications

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/hr.
