    We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 1st Shift. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage sample management duties and ensure quality products to support the QC group. This position offers the opportunity to advance within the Quality Assurance and sample management sectors as the company expands.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage sample management duties to support the QC group.

    + Work on the production floor to ensure all filler operators are following SOPs correctly.

    + Inspect incoming raw materials.

    + Verify lot and product numbers match with bottle numbers.

    + Document all 9 line's production goals.

    + Audit documentation and manufacturing processes.

    + Audit incoming raw materials.

    + Collect samples from lines to deliver to chemists in the lab.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in quality control and documentation.

    + Experience in sciences, particularly biology.

    + Ability to inspect and label products accurately.

    + Detail-oriented with experience in batch record review.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associate's degree in Science preferred; Bachelor's in Biology or Materials Science/Physics is advantageous.

    + Consideration given to candidates with degrees in material science, physics, or geology.

    + Open to candidates with relevant quality control experience, even without a degree.

    + Ideal for entry-level science graduates at either the Associate's or Bachelor's level.

    + Interest in transitioning to QA/Regulatory roles after one year is encouraged.

    Work Environment

    This position is located at the Mount Prospect, IL site. The company has a strong growth plan for its future in the generic drug market and the European market. The Quality Control Technician will start in the staging room and then work on the manufacturing floor, which operates 9 lines during the first shift. The team follows FDA and GMP guidelines. The role is not a lab-based position, and candidates should have an interest in QC/QA work. The work schedule is primarily 1st shift, 8am-4pm, with occasional Saturday or 2nd shift work once a month. The team consists of 7 other members in QC and offers a path to the QA/Regulatory department.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
