Job Title: Architectural Project Manager
Job Description
The Architectural Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing both internal and external design teams from initial planning through construction administration. This role involves coordinating team work plans, evaluating team performance, and fostering a high level of energy and enthusiasm within the team. The Project Manager will build strong relationships with staff, clients, and the communities served, ensuring effective communication to guarantee project success. In terms of business development, the Project Manager will assist in proposal writing and fee processes, support marketing strategies, and maintain relationships with past clients to secure repeat work.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage design teams from planning through construction administration.
+ Coordinate team work plans and evaluate team performance.
+ Develop and manage project goals related to sustainability, financial performance, and firm objectives.
+ Collaborate with financial services staff to manage financial performance.
+ Create and monitor project schedules.
+ Review contracts to identify additional services.
+ Assist in business development through proposal writing and fee processes.
+ Support marketing strategies and maintain client relationships.
Essential Skills
+ Over 10 years of experience as an architectural professional.
+ Experience with public and private higher education clients/projects.
+ A professional degree in Architecture.
+ Proficiency in project management software, particularly Deltek Vantagepoint.
+ Working knowledge of Revit.
+ Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
+ Understanding of building construction and project delivery systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Completion of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Construction & Professional Services Manual (CPSM) Webinar.
+ Prior Division of Engineering & Buildings (DEB) project experience.
+ Architectural registration is required.
+ Ability to develop project work plans, fees, and budgets.
+ Successful team-orientation and collaboration behaviors.
Work Environment
The office consists of approximately 15 people and offers very flexible work-from-home options, including the possibility to work fully remotely. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
