    We are seeking a dedicated IV Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing basic administrative tasks, organizing medication orders, and ensuring efficient delivery preparation. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining our high standards and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform basic administrative duties such as scanning, filing, and typing.

    + Pack and organize final medication orders into delivery totes in preparation for delivery.

    + Maintain excellent attendance and stay on task throughout the day.

    + Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.

    + Process all charges generated by the department using the medication profile, individual charge cards, and floor stock forms.

    + Type all correspondence for the department.

    + Receive incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate individual.

    + Establish and maintain office and general files for the department.

    + Provide receptionist duties for visitors, including providing information or referring them to another department member as appropriate.

    + Distribute mail as appropriate.

    Essential Skills

    + Pharmacy technician certification

    + Experience in IV and intravenous therapy

    + Retail pharmacy experience

    + Compounding skills

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 6 months of experience required

    + IV experience is required

    + Sterile compounding experience is highly preferred but not required

    + Registration with Ohio is required, with a preference for national certification

    Work Environment

    This role offers a flexible schedule with 24-30 hours per week, with the potential to transition to full-time. Candidates should be flexible with working both evenings and days, and weekends are rotated at least once a month. The start time varies between 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM or 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with the possibility of morning shifts. The schedule will be provided a month in advance. Our pharmacy fills around 1400 prescriptions a day, with some processed by robots. Technicians are expected to fill 30 prescriptions per hour, working in pairs to achieve this goal. We are a national, closed-door, long-term care pharmacy business dedicated to serving nursing and assisted living facilities, as well as hospice residents.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
