Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team. The role involves conducting field surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and specifications, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors on HVAC projects, preparing and maintaining project documentation, including progress reports and compliance checklists, and assisting the Project Manager in planning and coordinating HVAC projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will help monitor project progress, ensuring schedules and budgets are adhered to.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct field surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and specifications.

+ Act as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors on HVAC projects.

+ Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and compliance checklists.

+ Assist the Project Manager in planning and coordinating HVAC projects from inception to completion.

+ Monitor project progress, ensuring schedules and budgets are adhered to.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in HVAC systems.

+ Understanding of mechanical drawings and specifications.

+ Experience in construction management.

+ Experience with HVAC equipment and HVAC design.

+ Field engineering experience.

+ Knowledge of construction documents.

+ AutoCAD proficiency.

+ Experience in project management and project engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.

+ Experience handling construction documents such as change orders, RFIs, and submittals.

+ 1-3+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Mechanical Field Engineer.

+ Ideal candidates may have experience from a mechanical contractor or estimation background .

+ E.I.T or PMP certification.

Work Environment

The role requires working both in the office and in the field for five days a week, with no remote work options. The position is based within a busy and growing mechanical contracting firm located in Brooklyn.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
