The Nonsterile Compounding Pharmacist plays a crucial role in coordinating and organizing the manufacturing process. The role involves managing delays, ensuring the availability of materials, and making decisions on the use of non-conforming materials. The pharmacist will also oversee the fulfillment of production plans and supervise the workforce to maintain standard yields and equipment functionality.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate the planning and organization of manufacturing processes.
+ Address any delays during daily and weekly work schedules.
+ Ensure the issuance of materials from the warehouse for manufacturing purposes.
+ Verify the availability of raw and packing materials, utilities, filters, and machine size parts.
+ Decide on the rejection or use of non-conforming materials after consulting with the Production Manager.
+ Fulfill monthly and weekly production plans in coordination with the Production Manager.
+ Engage manpower effectively in the absence of work.
+ Plan work according to the weekly program.
+ Supervise duties of subordinates, operators, and other workers.
+ Maintain standard yields in production lines.
+ Ensure all production equipment is in good working order.
+ Assist in pilot-scale trials of products under development.
+ Control the production process and facilities.
+ Prepare daily reports.
+ Maintain discipline and a positive working culture among staff.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy degree, PharmD.
+ Experience in compounding, both sterile and non-sterile.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to implement operational manuals, production plans, and programs.
+ Monitor manufacturing activities in compliance with cGMP requirements.
+ Ensure manufacturing processes align with organizational objectives.
+ Maintain cleanliness and hygienic conditions in manufacturing areas.
+ Ensure hygienic conditions for production personnel, including wearing masks, gloves, and shoes.
Work Environment
The position operates Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The work environment is undergoing expansion, offering ample opportunity for growth and development. The pharmacy is expanding its location, with the potential for increased internal growth. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
