    Mount Sinai Health System seeks an Endocrinologist with a focus on Obesity Medicine, at Mount Sinai Hospital.

     

    The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System is offering an opportunity for a clinician with academic interests. The Division is seeking a clinician educator to support its growth at its Mount Sinai Hospital Campus. The position is based at Mount Sinai Hospital, which is central to Mount Sinai Health System’s transformation into a leader in Population Health.

     

    The endocrinologist would provide clinical care in the outpatient and inpatient setting for patients with all endocrine conditions As such, the candidate should have demonstrated interest and documented experience in care for all endocrine conditions including diabetes, obesity, pituitary, bone and thyroid, teaching and clinical research activities. The endocrinologist would join an established team of 20 physicians as well as a multi-disciplinary team comprised of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered dieticians, and certified diabetes educators. The endocrinologist also plays an important role in educating Endocrinology fellows and medical residents. Collaboration across specialties and an interest in clinical and / or translational research are expected.     The Division at Mount Sinai Hospital is an integral part of the renowned Mount Sinai Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Diseases as well as the Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Institute. In the 2021 U.S. News Rankings, our two academic campuses all received recognition ((Mount Sinai Hospital #14 and Mount Sinai Morningside High Performing) and offer remarkable opportunities for academic growth and research. Specifically, the endocrinologist would have access to unique assets for metabolic assessment, access to exceptional resources offered by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, such as a large Biobank, extensive population health tools with access to over 100,000 diabetes patients, and an opportunity to collaborate with the best minds in the field and across specialties.

    Qualifications

    + Medical Degree from an Accredited University

    + New York State Medical License

    + Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology

    + Board certified or planning Board Certification by ABOM within 2 years

    + Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve

    + Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills

    + A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System

     

    Compensation range from 195K to 267K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
