    Vice President of Growth/Business Development | Pay: 200k - 250k/yr | Hybrid in Chantilly, VA | Permanent Opportunity

    Job Description

    The Vice President of Growth/Business Development will be responsible for expanding the federal financial practice by offering innovative IT accounting solutions to Federal customers. This role involves networking and securing partnerships, responding to Federal solicitations, and participating in Federal events. The position will focus on applying technology to modernize financial management processes and streamline data management, supporting transformation activities for Federal financial organizations, and developing solutions to complex accounting and regulatory issues.

    Responsibilities

    + Grow the federal financial practice by offering IT accounting solutions to Federal customers.

    + Network and secure partnerships, respond to Federal solicitations, and attend Federal events.

    + Apply technology to modernize financial management processes and streamline data management.

    + Support modernization and transformation activities for Federal financial government organizations.

    + Assess root causes and develop solutions to complex accounting and regulatory issues.

    + Analyze and implement programs with machine learning in information assurance, enterprise risk management, internal controls, and compliance.

    + Propose a roadmap to automation and AI-enabled functions such as prompt payment and audit readiness.

    + Assist clients with various aspects of finance strategy, operational performance, and process improvement initiatives.

    + Conduct analysis of finance process areas with an emphasis on developing solutions for process, technology, data, and organizational designs.

    + Conduct effective research, data gathering, and analysis across finance and accounting functional areas.

    + Execute a structured approach to problem-solving and deliverable development using recognized technology tools and techniques.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of a master's degree in finance/accounting or an equivalent relevant degree.

    + A recognized professional qualification in accounting or IT, preferably both (CPA, CISA, ACCA) and membership of a recognized professional body.

    + Experience in information systems and familiarity with data science, with Python or equivalent preferred.

    + Minimum of twelve years post-qualification experience, with at least eight years at the managerial level.

    + At least eight years of experience in planning and implementing information system audits and risk management.

    + Experience in projects involving information systems, IT risk and assurance, and financial systems implementation.

    + Excellent negotiation, coordination, networking, interpersonal relations, and communication skills.

    + Strong ability to manage and mentor others.

    + Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; resourceful in delivering high-quality work.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + May be expected to work long hours and must be able to work under pressure and achieve results.

    + Preferred experience in financial services with firms such as KPMG, EY, PWC, BDO, and Baker Tilly.

    Work Environment

    The position is primarily hybrid, with initial work in Fairfax, VA, then remote. Once established, work location may be at client sites or virtual/remote depending on business needs. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay, estimated at 10% or less per year.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $200000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
