Job Opportunity: Training Specialist in Poughkeepsie, NYPosition Overview:
We are seeking a Training Specialist to lead onboarding and role-specific training for both new hires and current employees. In this role, you will assess participant performance, partner with management to craft effective learning strategies, and ensure training programs meet organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Deliver onboarding sessions and training on products, services, technical skills, and soft skills to staff and leadership as assigned.
+ Design and facilitate engaging learning experiences through various methods, including in-person, online, live (synchronous), self-paced (asynchronous), or a blend of these approaches.
+ Monitor and evaluate trainer and trainee performance on the job; communicate insights and collaborate with management to refine training strategies.
+ Serve as a liaison between Talent Management, On-the-Job Trainers, and Leadership to review current training programs, gather feedback, and recommend improvements.
+ Assess participant understanding and training effectiveness; collaborate with Instructional Designers to update course materials based on evaluation results.
+ Develop a solid understanding of company products, services, processes, and systems to effectively deliver technical and soft skills training.
+ Maintain accurate records, data tracking, and reporting related to training activities.
+ Support the onboarding and mentoring of new Training Specialists.
+ Comply with all company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory standards.
+ Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices.
+ Contribute to team projects, initiatives, and strategic goals.
+ Perform additional duties and special projects as needed.
+ Uphold the company's core principles in all activities, fostering teamwork and professionalism.
Required Skills:
+ Expertise in training facilitation
+ Strong technical training abilities
+ Experience in creating evaluation reports
+ Skills in developing and delivering training programs
+ Proficiency in virtual training environments
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 3 years of training experience
+ Associate's degree or higher preferred
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with three days in-office and two days remote. Employees may choose to work at our offices located in Malta, NY (preferred), Poughkeepsie (headquarters), Wappingers Falls, or Middletown, NY. Occasional travel to the Poughkeepsie headquarters is required, approximately a few times per quarter. The team comprises six members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
