    Job Title: Payroll Specialist

    Job Description

    As part of the payroll team, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for employees. This role requires an understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure payroll data integrity, resolve payroll issues, and implement improvements in payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, acute attention to detail, and payroll system processing experience.

    Responsibilities

    + Process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and company policies.

    + Ensure payroll operations comply with applicable labor laws and tax regulations. Stay current on payroll-related regulations and update procedures accordingly.

    + Work within the payroll system (ADP), ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements.

    + Conduct regular payroll audits and provide reports on payroll metrics to finance leadership. Assist in internal and external payroll audits as necessary.

    + Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues promptly. Provide courteous service for payroll-related inquiries.

    + Work closely with HR to maintain accurate employee records, including benefits, deductions, and timekeeping.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2+ years of payroll experience.

    + Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, and SAP.

    + Strong proficiency in Excel.

    + Understanding of payroll regulations, including tax withholding, garnishments, and other payroll-related laws.

    + Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.

    Work Environment

    This position requires working onsite during training and then 2 day work form home after acclimated. The role offers potential for extension and conversion, providing a stable and long-term career opportunity.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
