We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead and mentor our accounts payable team. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate with colleagues and vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining vendor records. The position involves overseeing global payment transactions and participating in month-end processes.
Responsibilities
+ Mentor and guide the accounts payable staff, fostering a positive and effective communication environment.
+ Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors, adhering to company policy and internal controls.
+ Maintain and update vendor records.
+ Implement and enhance accounting processes and systems for improved efficiency.
+ Analyze key project indicators to ensure productivity and process efficiency.
+ Interview, hire, and conduct performance reviews for staff.
+ Manage global payment transactions, including ACH, checks, and international/domestic wires.
+ Prepare journal entries, reports, and analyses as requested by senior management.
+ Participate in month-end processes, managing accounts payable cut-offs.
+ Prepare 1099-Miscellaneous tax forms and handle tax levies.
+ Assist with legal requests when necessary.
+ Serve as a resource for interpreting accounts payable policies, procedures, and regulations.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in accounts payable and invoice processing.
+ Proficiency in month-end processes and financial reporting.
+ Strong reconciliation and purchase order processing skills.
+ Ability to manage payments and month-end procedures.
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.
+ Knowledge of general ledger and three-way matching.
+ Experience in vendor relationship management.
+ Proven team management abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
+ More than 7 years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable in a fast-paced environment.
+ Between 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
+ Experience with SAP.
+ Prior knowledge of international payments and banking requirements.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with a 3 on, 2 off schedule. The position does not include direct reports.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.38 - $40.38/hr.
