CNC Lathe Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team in Davenport, Iowa. You will be responsible for troubleshooting machines, reading complex prints, and setting machines to hold tolerances of +/- 0.002. Our facility produces foundry tooling for various industries, including resource & mining, construction, commercial pipe wrenches, hydraulic components, heavy equipment, engine components, and large municipal pipe fittings and adapters. You may handle up to 12 different machines daily.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC lathe machines.

+ Read and interpret complex blueprints, including true position and GD&T symbols.

+ Set up machines to maintain tolerances of +/- 0.002.

+ Operate, program, and set up machines independently.

+ Manage and monitor multiple machines, including both newer and older models.

+ Program using 2D modeling software such as **Mastercam or Fusion 360** .

+ Train employees on certain aspects of programming.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience with CNC and manual lathes (Ikegai & Hitachi).

+ Proficiency in blueprint reading, including GD&T symbols.

+ Experience with machining tools like calipers and micrometers.

+ Ability to program using Mastercam or Fusion 360.

+ Understanding of G&M codes and troubleshooting skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
