Job Title: Electrical Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Electro/Mechanical Engineer Technician for our FAA Repair Station in the Waterjet Department. The role involves assisting in the design, development, implementation, and testing of machine hardware and software. You will be responsible for customizing existing machinery and troubleshooting machine and process-related issues affecting part quality and throughput. This position offers an exciting opportunity to advance products through the use of new materials and the development of new technology.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in the design, development, implementation, and testing of machine hardware and software.

+ Customize existing machinery to enhance functionality.

+ Troubleshoot machine and process-related issues affecting part quality and throughput.

+ Research and present findings for both off-the-shelf and custom solutions.

+ Advance product development through the use of new materials and technologies.

+ Operate and test machines or assemblies on the shop floor or in a test bench scenario.

+ Collect and analyze data on prototype machines or assemblies and write reports of findings.

+ Perform additional tasks and projects as needed by the supervisor or department manager.

+ Adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with schematics, oscilloscopes, and assembly.

+ Proficiency in soldering, using test equipment, and repair.

+ Skilled in wiring, calibration, and PCB handling.

+ Experience with prototypes and multimeter usage.

+ Ability to design electrical wiring, assemblies, components, troubleshooting, circuits, and panels.

+ Formal electrical training such as apprenticeship, military training, or an associate degree.

+ Experience with 480v systems, wiring panels, and calibrating & programming controls.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and design engineering.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
