    Tool and Die Machinist

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Tool Maker, where you will be instrumental in building and repairing dies and fixtures for our fabrication shop. You will work with a variety of equipment including tube benders, press brakes, and robot welders. While creating new fixtures from scratch is rare, you will need to program and be familiar with SolidWorks or CAMWorks. This role offers independence with available training, and a strong emphasis on attendance.

    Responsibilities

    + Build, repair, and maintain precision tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures.

    + Operate and program manual and CNC equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.

    + Inspect work using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings.

    + Collaborate with engineers to design and refine tooling.

    + Perform preventive maintenance on tools and machinery.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work area following company safety standards.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of machining or tool and die experience.

    + Proficiency with machines such as Haas CNC Mills and FANUC controls.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and 3D models.

    + Hands-on experience with manual tool room equipment like Trak mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, and hand tools.

    + Experience with inspection tools, handheld measuring instruments, gages, and portable CMM arms.

    + Familiarity with SolidWorks and CAMWorks, other CAM software is a plus.

    + CNC programming knowledge is required.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues independently or within a team.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
