Job Title: E&I Technician
Job Description
As an E&I Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical and instrument equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments. You will engage in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machines, equipment, and instruments. Your role involves investigating problems with instruments and sensors such as flow meters, variable speed drives, temperature sensors, pressure and level transmitters, air quality sensors, communications devices, and interfaces.
Responsibilities
+ Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments.
+ Read and interpret electrical drawings, instrument loop diagrams, and BIDS.
+ Work with DCS and assist in programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controls (PLC), control software, and human-machine interface systems.
+ Identify practices and equipment that might be improved to increase reliability and/or decrease cost to the organization.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in instrumentation, electronics, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
+ Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in the instrumentation/electrical field or possess a Journeyman Instrument/Electrical Certificate or an Associate's Degree in I & E Technology.
+ Capable of working with DCS, programming, and troubleshooting PLCs, control software, and human-machine interface systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, instrument loop diagrams, and BIDS.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RFCA).
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills to prevent accidents and inefficiencies.
+ Must be able to work overtime, including nights and weekends, when needed to meet deadlines.

Work Environment
This is a direct placement position requiring a valid driver's license. The role may involve working the 2nd shift, with potential for 1st shift, and necessitates flexibility to work overtime. Embrace an environment that prioritizes safety and operational excellence.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $69909.00 - $76900.00/yr.
